Program Guidelines
Purpose
In 2021, an anonymous donor wanted to ensure that any person affected by a bleeding disorder with a desire to read would have access to books, and the LHF Reads program was created. The goal of this program is to promote literacy among the bleeding disorders community.
Applicant Eligibility
To be eligible to receive a book from LHF Reads, an applicant must:

Be diagnosed with a bleeding disorder

Be the parent/guardian of a minor child with a bleeding disorder

Reside in the state of Louisiana
Book Eligibility
Books purchased by LHF for LHF Reads distribution must:

Be under $35.00

Contain subject matter appropriate for multiple audiences
Requirements

Complete and submit application

Minors under the age of eighteen (18) must have parent/guardian permission
-
Limit one book per person per calendar year
**Program availability and approval is dependent on the amount of funding available, and funding varies from year to year**
